This project transformed a Victorian semi-detached home through the addition of a two-storey extension, a full internal renovation and a loft conversion.

The design combined traditional and contemporary materials, with second-hand London Yellow Stock bricks and natural slate roof tiles carefully selected to ensure the first-floor extension blended seamlessly with the existing house. In contrast, the contemporary ground floor featured white render, a sedum green roof and full-height sliding glass doors opening onto the garden. Inside, the entire ground floor was reconfigured to create a fully open-plan space, an unexpected and striking layout for this style of property. Warm and tactile finishes were used throughout, including herringbone oak flooring, exposed brick and polished concrete, complemented by underfloor heating to both new and existing parts of the house.
